Optimization of the complex design require to reduce the number of control parameters. Therefore it is necessary to determine the most sensitive parameters.
Also sensitivity analysis allows to estimate how important these or other parameters for the whole design. In addition, on basis of sensitivity analysis it is possible to create a simplified model of the system. Simplified models are created based on factor analysis.
